Spanish Iberdrola: Oshoala opens goal account for Barcelona Ladies

Asisat Oshoala opened her goal account for the new season as Barcelona Ladies defeated Villarreal 4-1 in their Spanish Iberdrola clash on Sunday night.

Oshoala scored Barcelona’s second goal of the game in the second half.

The Nigeria international latched on to Mariona Caldenty’s pass two minutes after the break and slotted the ball into the net.

The 27-year-old was replaced by Claudia Pina in the 66th minute.

Oshoala has made two league appearances for the champions this season.

She was the joint top scorer in the Spanish Iberdrola last season, with 20 goals in 19 league appearances.

Jonatan Giraldez’s side top the table with six points from two games.
