Sudanese Club Payoff Former NPFL Star

After threatening to take them to FIFA, the Sudanese side El Merrikh has paid off former Nigeria Professional Football League star Tony Edjomarigwe.

Edjomarigwe joined the Sudanese side last summer following the expiration of his contract with the Moroccan club Maghreb Tetouan where he played 27 matches and scored 9 goals.

He decided to part ways with El Merriekh in August 2022 after failing to tie down a regular shirt with the team.

As at the time of his departure, he’s being owed $140,000 which the his was feeling reluctant to pay.

According to the update from Sudan, the club has paid him off after he threatened to lay complaint to the World soccer ruling body, FIFA.
