Super 6 showdown: Delta Queens In Cruise Control

*Wack C’flueens Queens 3-1

Petite Effiong Ekpeyong, like Brazil’s Bebeto, proved again last night that football is not about size but brain and skills.

The midfielder struck twice either half of the match to guarantee the three vital points for Delta Queens against Confluence Queens of Lokoja to take her team to top of the log in group B.

Vera Samuel had made it two for Delta after Confluence got an equaliser against the run of play.

But the talking point really aside the good officiating in this super six play offs, should be the master class display by Effiong with her touches. She is a phenomenon waiting on the wings in female football.

Meanwhile, action continues this morning in yet another fixture in group A with Bayelsa Queens sizing up FC Robbo who lost their opening game 2-0 to Rivers Angels.

Later in the day, Confluence and Edo Queens will also do battle in group B at the same venue, the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba all free.
