Super Eagles: Labbadia walking out on NFF “Very Embarrassing”– Sports Minister, Enoh

Date:

Sports Minister John Enoh has expressed his disappointment over German coach Bruno Labbadia’s abrupt exit from the Super Eagles’ head coaching position, calling it both embarrassing and regrettable.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had announced Labbadia’s appointment as head coach, only for him to later inform the media in Germany that he would not be taking up the role.

Enoh, speaking on Arise TV, said he sought clarification from the NFF regarding the situation.

“This was very embarrassing and regrettable,” Enoh said. “I immediately contacted the NFF to understand why they made the appointment public before it was finalized. Their response was that they had received a commitment from the coach.”

Currently, Augustine Eguavoen is serving as the interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
