Super Eagles train moves to Lagos for AFCON qualifiers

Date:

National team Super Eagles are expected to open camp on the 11th of June in Lagos ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.

Nigeria need just one win from their last two games in the qualifiers for next year’s Nations Cup. They already picked nine points from their first four games, and just three points would see them through.

The Super Eagles’ next game is against Sierra Leone at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia on the 18th of June.

According to Naija Footballers, ahead of the fixture, Nigeria’s camp will be opened on Sunday, 11th of June. They will converge in Lagos, where they will train at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan.

When both teams met in the reverse fixture last June, the Super Eagles had to come back from a goal down to win 2-1. However, Sierra Leone are condemned to win this time, as a loss could knock them out of the race for the Nations Cup ticket.

Coach Jose Peseiro is yet to reveal his squad list for the game.
