Super Eagles won’t disappoint again – Awoniyi

Taiwo Awoniyi has assured that the Super Eagles will not disappoint their fans in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

Despite having secured only one win in their last five matches, the Super Eagles are determined to turn things around.

They previously suffered a 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic in their last encounter in June.

Awoniyi remains confident, expressing that the team is fully prepared to achieve victory in the upcoming fixtures.

“Yeah, I think for us, football is our job, this is our profession and this is what we do,” Awoniyi told AdemolaVictorTV.

“I think I just want to assure all Nigerians that they should be supportive, they should try to support us.”

The Super Eagles will face Benin in Uyo on Saturday, then travel to Kigali to take on Rwanda on Tuesday.
