Players and officials of the Super Falcons have started arriving in Angers ahead of their upcoming friendly match against France’s Les Bleues.
Interim head coach Justine Madugu has called up 20 players for the match, which will take place at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers on Saturday night.
The game is set to kick off at 9:30 PM Nigeria time.
This will be the fourth meeting between Nigeria and France.
In their previous encounters, France defeated the Super Falcons 1-0 in a group stage match at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany.
In April 2018, Les Bleues dominated Nigeria 8-0 in a friendly at Le Mans’ Stade Marie Marvingt. They also triumphed 8-0 again at the 2019 World Cup in France.
The Super Falcons are using this friendly as part of their preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
