Super Falcons intensify training for lady Elephants

Super Falcons continue to burn the calories in preparation for the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations clash against Ivory Coast on Friday in Abuja.

The Falcons are hoping to begin the two legged clash at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Friday, 18th February on a victorious note with intent to making the return leg a mere formality. The Lady Elephants are reportedly coming with a game plan to hold Falcons to a draw and consolidate in the second leg, a plan which the Falcons must avoid falling prey to.

The reverse fixture at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan on Wednesday, 23rd February, with the winner over two legs to earn the ticket to the 12th Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in July. Other fixtures on Friday include Zimbabwe Vs Botswana; South Africa Vs Algeria; Tunisia Vs Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon Vs. Gambia.

Already officials for the Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire will be taking charge of by Burkinabe official Jacqueline Nikiema as referee, with her compatriot Rahamatou Traore as assistant referee 1 and Abra Sitsofe Agbedanou from Togo as assistant referee 2. Another Togolese, Edoh Kindedji is the fourth official while Christine Enyonam Ziga from Ghana is the match commissioner.
