Super Falcons maintain 36th position in FIFA ranking

Nigeria’s Super Falcons held onto the 36th spot in the latest women’s ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Friday.

During the review period, the nine-time African champions played three friendly matches.

The Super Falcons triumphed over Algeria in two matches, winning 2-0 and 4-1, respectively.

However, Justine Madugu’s team suffered a 2-1 defeat to France’s Les Bleues last month.

Nigeria also held on to the top spot in Africa, with South Africa’s Banyana Banyana in second place.

Morocco, Zambia, and Ghana rounded out the top five in Africa.
