Super Stars show face as Super-Agent Raiola buried

Football’s biggest stars gathered in Monte Carlo to pay their respects to super-agent Mino Raiola, who was laid to rest earlier today.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and PSG’s Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma all attended the funeral in Monaco – the Principality where Raiola had lived for so many years.

Raiola died at the age of 54 on Saturday following a battle with an illness. He was previously in hospital at the start of this year due to an undisclosed health issue, and underwent very delicate surgery in January.

His death shocked the world of football and now the group of footballing royalty he represented over the years were present for his funeral on Thursday, with a private ceremony held for family and close friends at the Saint-Charles church in Monte Carlo.

Swedish icon Ibrahimovic, 40, who has played for PSG, Manchester United, Barcelona and Inter across a 23-year career, was one of Raiola’s closest clients and was reportedly present at the Italian’s bedside when he passed away.

Along with Ibrahimovic, Haaland and Donnarumma, the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal great Cesc Fabregas was also spotted at the ceremony, along with PSG midfielder Marco Verratti and Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Raiola’s death plunged the immediate futures of his clients into question, with many gearing up for mega-money moves this summer.
