SV Award: Oshoala Thumbs Up Osahon’s Nomination

Six times CAF Women’s Player Of The Year, Asisat Oshoala, has commended the nomination of the proprietor of Robo FC Emmanuel Osahon for the Sportsville Special Recognition Award.
The Super Falcons forward told the the Secretary of the Organising Committee, Mathew Okugbe that coach Osahon truly deserves the honour by Sportsville.

“Robo’s contribution to women’s football development in the country cannot be over emphasized, he has produced more players for the respective women’s national teams than any other club or academy in Nigeria,” Oshoala, who currently plays for Bay FC in the United States said.

“Coach Osahon saw the potential in me, Rasheedat Ajibade, Monday Gift, and several others and he supported us to get to the level we are today.

“I strongly believe he deserves every plaudit he is getting at this time because he has done very well for the women’s game in Nigeria,” she added.

An elated Emannuel Osahon said the Sportsville Award nomination is a big honour and a motivation to keep working hard to support women’s football in the country.

“This is a huge honour to me, the Sportsville Award is one of the most credible sports award in Nigeria and for the organizers to have found me worthy for this accolade is truly a thing of joy to me.”

Coach Osahon is among the 10 distinguished personalities to be decorated with Sportsville Special Recognition Award on April 3rd, 2025 at the Prestigious Eko Club, Surulere Lagos.

Others in this category are; Giadomeneco Masari,President Nigeria Cycling Federation, Bayo Oyerinde, President Nigeria Squash Federation and Coach Fany Amun.
Others are Prof. Mariam Suleiman, Prince Paul Ngadiuba, Kingsley Awodi, as well as Dr. Terry Eguaoje.
