Timothy Weah agrees €12M move with Juventus

Lille OSC player Timothy Weah has agreed terms over a move to Serie A side Juventus. The deal will see Timothy who is son of Liberian President George Weah, pitch tent with the Italian club for the next five years.

The USMNT ace has attracted interest from across Europe. He was initially linked with a move to the Premier League with Everton, Fulham and Brighton all reportedly interested, whilst Olympique de Marseille reportedly showed an interest later in the season.

However, with just one year remaining on his contract with Les Dogues, Weah now looks set to head to Italy. Juventus and Lille are making progress in negotiations and the final agreement is thought to total around €12m a profit on the €10m Lille paid Paris Saint-Germain back in 2019.

As well as agreeing on the length of the deal with the Turin-based side, Weah has also reached an agreement on a salary, and a move is therefore on the verge of being completed.
