Tinubu appoints new NPA Managing Director, Board Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board of the NPA.

Dr. Dantsoho, a seasoned maritime expert with a Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology and a Master’s degree in International Transport, brings extensive experience from his tenure as Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager at Onne Port, and Principal Manager for Tariff & Billing at the NPA.

Senator Adeyeye, a distinguished lawyer, journalist, and former Minister of State for Works, as well as a former Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, assumes the role of Chairman of the Board.

President Tinubu emphasized his expectation for the new leadership to enhance the agency’s operations, ensuring efficient port services and fostering improved industry outcomes.
