President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
The meeting is being attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
Absent are the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Geidam.
At the last council meeting, held two weeks ago, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris disclosed President Tinubu’s stance on the safe return of kidnapped school students and other individuals kidnapped in Borno, Kaduna and Sokoto states, saying no dime of ransom payments will be paid on any of the victims.

The Minister also disclosed that the government was reviewing the security support offer made by the United States and other countries
He added that the position of the government will soon be made known on the proposals.
