The Executive Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa has expressed his condolences over Sunday’s ghastly accident that claimed several lives of supporters of Bayelsa Queens.
The supporters were on their way to Asaba for the epic encounter between Delta Queens and Bayelsa Queens.
Leading a team of management and staff of Delta Queens football club to Federal Medical Center, Asaba where survivors of the auto crash were being attended to, he described the horror as heart breaking and unfortunate.
“This is a very sad development and a great loss to Bayelsa Queens, the state government as well as friends, families of the victims and the sporting world”
Chief Okowa also prayed that the Almighty God will give families of the victims the fortitude to bear the loss and as well grant the survivors quick recovery.
