Tottenham have completed the signing of Djed Spence from Middlesbrough in a £20million deal.
The England U21 right wing-back has become Antonio Conte’s sixth signing of the summer after penning a contract until 2027.
Spence said: “To play in the Premier League at a big club like Tottenham Hotspur it’s a dream come true.
“I’m just thankful that I’m going to get an opportunity to play for the club.
“Last year we won promotion at Nottingham Forest and it was a great season for me – the stuff of dreams really.
“I bring excitement, skill, speed – I just want to excite the fans.”
The 21-year-old right wing-back caught Conte’s eye last season as he helped Nottingham Forest to seal promotion while on loan.
Talks have been taking place for weeks but finally the two clubs have struck a compromise.
SunSport report understands that a package worth up to £20million has now been agreed.
Spurs will pay Championship side Boro £12.5m up-front, with a further £7.5m to potentially come in add-ons.
