Serie A newcomers Cremonese are looking to sign Nigeria defender, William Troost-Ekong.
Troost-Ekong is surplus to requirements at Sky Bet Championship club, Watford.
According to transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, Cremonese is working round the clock to secure the services of Nigeria’s vice-captain before the end of the transfer window.
Di Marzio earlier reported that Bologna is keen on luring the experienced defender back to Italy.
Troost-Ekong featured for Serie A club, Udinese for two seasons before moving to Watford in 2020.
The 28-year-old made 17 Premier League appearances with Watford last season.
He lost his place after returning from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in January.
