Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo, has made it clear the club already has a “wonderful squad” amid rumours linking them with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United in order to play Champions League football next season.
The 37-year-old has missed the club’s pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia and is currently training on his own with his future in doubt.
Cerezo was recently asked about the Ronaldo rumours during a club meal at a restaurant in Madrid.
“You have to ask me more difficult questions,” he replied, as quoted by Goal.
“To easy questions, simple answers. It is considered answered.”
Cerezo added: “We are here for dinner, an early season dinner, with a wonderful squad, sensational players and a fantastic manager. We have everything, what more can we ask for?”
