Transfer: Aubameyang reaches agreement to leave Chelsea, new club revealed

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to leave Chelsea after reaching an agreement to join Marseille, according to RMC.

The 34-year-old has endured a miserable time with the Blues since he joined from Barcelona in a £12million deal last September.

Aubameyang arrived just days before Thomas Tuchel, who he had a strong relationship with following their time together at Borussia Dortmund, was sacked and went on to score just three goals in 21 appearances.

He was then dropped from Chelsea’s Champions League squad by Graham Potter.

Aubameyang was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but is now looking to return to France.

The former Arsenal skipper has now agreed a two-year contract with Marseille, which includes the option of a third season.

The Ligue 1 side are now in talks with the Blues to convince them to allow the striker to leave on a free transfer.
