Transfer: Aubameyang takes decision on joining Chelsea

Date:

Barcelona striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has no desire to leave the Blaugrana despite interest from Chelsea, according to Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona have had an eventful and fruitful summer transfer window so far.

They have added the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Raphinha, Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen to their ranks ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

The Catalan club, though, need to move a few players on to raise funds and make space for the new signings.

Aubameyang is among a host of players who could be shown the door this summer.

The former Arsenal captain has been linked with a move to Chelsea, where he would reunite with his former coach, Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Gabonese attacker is not considering a move away from Barcelona this summer, according to the aforementioned source.

The former Dortmund star is said to be focused on fulfilling his contract with Barcelona.

Aubameyang’s current deal with Barcelona will expire in 2025.
