Transfer: Cannavaro warns Napoli, names two clubs capable of signing Osimhen

Date:

Former Italy international, Fabio Cannavaro has warned Napoli over the future of their star man, Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is wanted by the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG and has been rumoured to have appeared in the wishlist of Real Madrid.

The Super Eagles attacker scored 31 goals in 39 games across all competitions.

Osimhen helped Napoli win their first Serie A title in 33 years, netting the title-winning goal in a 1-1 draw at Udinese on May 4.

The Parthenopeans are open to the sale of the number 9 if they receive a mammoth offer for his services.

Cannavaro believes that either Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain will go all out to sign Osimhen if they decide to acquire a player in the Serie A.

Speaking on the future of Osimhen, Cannavaro told La Gazzetta dello Sport via Foot Italia, “Surely clubs like Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United-the ones that need a center forward the most-if they decide to take a player from Italy, they will.

“These are the forces in the market, no use deluding ourselves. De Laurentiis has correct business concepts and organizationally he has proven himself.

“He has succeeded in making the fans understand that one can also change while remaining competitive.”
