Transfer: Chelsea Reach Agreement with Gabriel Mec

Chelsea have reportedly struck a deal with Gremio midfielder Gabriel Mec following discussions with the player.

The Premier League club, under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital since 2022, has been keenly pursuing Mec.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea is making significant progress in negotiations with Gremio to finalize Mec’s move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

“Negotiations are in progress between the clubs, with Chelsea initiating talks with Gremio after receiving the player’s approval for the move,” Romano tweeted. “The 2008-born Brazilian talent is eager for the Chelsea transfer.”
