Transfer: Chelsea told to immediately loan Boehly’s first January signing

Date:

France-based CBS Sports Golazo journalist, Jonathan Johnson has advised Chelsea to loan defender Benoit Badiashile back to a Ligue 1 club after he completes his transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea, under the leadership of co-owner Todd Boehly, confirmed the signing of Badiashile from French Ligue side Monaco on Thursday.

Badiahile signed a seven-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea to become Boehly’s first January signing.

However, Jonathan believes it would be wise for Chelsea to send the 21-year-old left centre-back on loan for the remainder of the season.

“I think that he [Badiashile] has the makings of a good Premier League defender. However, Chelsea might be wise to consider loaning him back to a Ligue 1 club for the rest of the season,” Johnson told Football.London.
