Transfer: Chelsea’s €40m offer for Samu Omorodion rejected

Atletico Madrid have rejected a €40 million offer from Chelsea for Samu Omorodion on Tuesday.

The Blues are trying to bring in a new striker ahead of the new season and are also eyeing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.

However, they have made a move for Omorodion, sending in a bid around €30 million plus add-ons up to €40 million package.

This was revealed by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on his X page.

Romano wrote: “Atlético Madrid have rejected today formal bid from Chelsea for Samu Omorodion around €30m plus add-ons up to €40m package.

“Chelsea keep considering Omorodion and Jhon Durán as options for new striker.

“Atlético Madrid insist on their plan to keep Samu Omorodion.”
