Transfer: Chelsea’s hopes of signing Aubameyang dealt huge blow, Everton star leaves

Date:

Chelsea’s hopes of signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been dealt a blow with news that their approach has stalled.

The Blues are desperate to bring in a striker before the end of the transfer window but now face a difficult task to sign the Barcelona star.

According to talkSPORT, this comes after the news that Man United have entered the race to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, Everton have allowed Niels Nkounkou to join Cardiff City on loan for the 2022-23 season.

The Toffees have handed the 21-year-old a new contract at Goodison Park but allowed him to head out to the Championship in order to play more regular first team football.

The left-back joined Everton from Marseille in 2020 and spent last season on loan with Belgian club Standard Liege.
