Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, wants the club to bring in five players before the summer transfer window closes in two weeks.
Only three new signings have arrived so far: Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez
However, the Red Devils have started badly, losing two consecutive Premier League fixtures against Brighton and Brentford.
Ten Hag is now seeking to put the season back on track by adding new players to his squad.
The Telegraph reports two midfielders are on Ten Hag’s shopping list with Real Madrid star Casemiro on their radar and the Brazilian open to listening to offers.
A striker, a right-back, and a goalkeeper are the other positions the club will look to target.
A new forward could be a priority if Cristiano Ronaldo eventually leaves, as it would leave Anthony Martial as the only recognised no 9.
Meanwhile, right-back is an area where United’s lack of quality has been evident and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will now be allowed to leave, while question marks hang over Diogo Dalot which has led to an interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier.
The departure of Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest on loan has also left Ten Hag looking for a back-up goalkeeper who can put pressure on David de Gea for the no.1 spot.
