Transfer: Iheanacho set to join LaLiga’s Sevilla

Date:

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho is nearing a move to La Liga side Sevilla, as reported by Sky Sports correspondent Florian Plettenberg.

Sevilla, former UEFA Europa League champions, have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the 27-year-old.

Iheanacho is expected to undergo medical examinations with the club in the coming week.

The striker will join Sevilla on a free transfer after departing Leicester City last month following the expiration of his contract.

His tenure at Leicester spanned seven years.

Sevilla has already welcomed another Nigerian, Chidera Ejuke, earlier in the summer, as the club continues to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming season.
