After giving up on Romelu Lukaku, Inter have started to switch focus to their other targets like Alvaro Morata and Folarin Balogun, Gianluca Di Marzio details.
The Nerazzurri already welcomed Marcus Thuram this summer and now they’re looking to bring in another forward to bolster Simone Inzaghi’s attack, setting their sights on a number of options.
Inter were prepared to pay around €40m total for Lukaku, giving an indication to how much they might be willing to invest in a new striker.
As detailed by Di Marzio, one of Inter’s top choices to strengthen their attack is Morata, who is also a key target of Roma.
The 30-year-old Spaniard has a high salary and a €21m release clause, but the Nerazzurri are still working on a move and are prepared to pay around €15m for his signature.
The other main target of the Nerazzurri is Balogun, who seems destined to leave Arsenal in the coming weeks after exploding onto the scene with Stade Reims.
Arsenal are reportedly not asking for €50-60m and would be willing to accept around €40m for the American striker, who has already made it clear that he’d be willing to join Inter.
Other ideas in the background for the Milanese club are Udinese’s Beto, who would cost around €30m, and Porto’s Mehdi Taremi, who is also wanted by Milan.
