Manchester United on Sunday confirmed that the club have reached an agreement with Ajax to sign defender Lisandro Martinez.
Man United disclosed this in a statement via its website.
The statement read, “Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Argentine international defender Lisandro Martinez, subject to medical, to player terms being finalised, and to UK visa requirements.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United goalkeeper Matej Kovar is set to join Cheltenham Town on loan this season.
Gloucestershire Live reports that the 22-year-old shot-stopper will head to League One Robins on July 25.
Kovar will be available for the first game of the season the following Saturday against Peterborough United.
