Transfer: Messi set for Barcelona return in 2023 after making ‘peace’ with club president

Date:

Lionel Messi will return to Barcelona next summer, after making ‘peace’ with the club’s president, Joan Laporta.

Messi left the Nou Camp as a free agent last year to sign for Paris Saint-Germain.

At the time, Barca released a statement saying the 35-year-old is leaving due to financial restrictions placed upon them by LaLiga.

However, Messi is now set to return to the LaLiga giants when his contract with PSG expires next summer.

According to an Argentine reporter, Veronica Brunati, the player will return to Barcelona on July 1, 2023, after just two years at Paris Saint-Germain.

It is believed Messi will return to the club after making peace’ with Laporta, who was at the centre of the controversy two years ago.
