Napoli have opened talks with Victor Osimhen’s agent over a new contract after they won their first Serie A title in 33 years.
According to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, president of the club, Aurelio De Laurentiis is having direct negotiations with the forward’s agent, Roberto Calenda.
Osimhen has been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
De Laurentiis assured Napoli fans last week he won’t allow the Nigerian leave the club this summer.
The club’s supremo is now determined to tie the talismanic forward to a new long-term contract.
Osimhen has scored 23 league goals this season and is on track to be crowned top scorer in Serie A.
The 24-year-old was signed for €75m plus various add-ons from Ligue 1 club, Lille in September 2020 and is under contract until June 2025.
