Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, has explained why his consortium appointed Paul Winstanley as Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
Boehly said they chose Winstanley because the Englishman shared Chelsea’s philosophy and would fit seamlessly into the organisation.
Winstanley joined Chelsea as Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
Winstanley joined Chelsea after eight years with Premier League side Brighton.
Reacting to Winstanley’s appointment, Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali were quoted by the club’s website as saying: “Paul is going to be a great addition to Chelsea.
“He’s highly respected and is a key senior addition as we continue to build a world class sporting team with a huge depth of talent, ambition and commitment who will work closely with us to drive Chelsea forward.”
