Transfer: ‘Serie A the best league for me’, Napoli ace Osimhen replies suitors

Date:

Napoli ace Victor Osimhen revealed he’s happy in Italy and Naples.

The Nigeria international is being linked with Arsenal and Manchester United this week.

Osimhen said, “Playing in Serie A is wonderful for me. I know that people consider the Premier League to be the best league in the world, but for now I’m not thinking about it, I don’t know what will happen.

“I’m working hard and I’m happy to play in Naples,” he continued. “I’m doing my best to achieve my goals and maybe to play in the Premier League one day but for now, I’m enjoying the moment.

“For me, Serie A remains a great challenge, with different characteristics from other leagues and with fans who always make you feel their support. In that regard, for me, it’s the best league.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal have joined the battle for Napoli star Osimhen.

And it’s been claimed in Italy that Arsenal have become the favourites to sign the in-demand striker.

The Napoli star is currently being chased by top clubs such as Man United and Chelsea.

But, according to Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato, the Gunners have entered the running to sign the Nigerian and are now favourites to get a deal done in the summer.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is expected to demand over £100m to sell Osimhen.
