Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has said that the club do not need another midfielder.
The German rubbished the suggestion that Chelsea need a new attacking midfielder before the end of the window.
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss watched his team crash to a 3-0 defeat to Leeds United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The loss made reporters demand to know the club’s plans in terms of recruitment with the news of offers for Everton’s Anthony Gordon and Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
When asked whether the result at Elland Road underlined the need to strengthen in the forward areas, Tuchel replied: “No, no.”
“Another midfielder? We have Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, we have Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Mateo Kovacic…
“They [Kovacic and Kante] are injured, yes, it’s a problem. But they will come back. They’ve not disappeared.”
