Transfer window: AC Milan chief Maldini eager to know more about Real Madrid ace Asensio

Date:

Interest in unsettled Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio is intensifying.

AC Milan, Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester United all want to be kept up to date on his plans moving forward.

Milan are now coming forward for Asensio and, according to Corriere dello Sport, sporting director Paolo Maldini has already contacted Carlo Ancelotti to sound out the Spain international’s situation.

Asensio has not given anything away about his future, saying everything is still possible: staying at Madrid, leaving Madrid or running down his contract, which expires in 2023.

The Mallorcan plans to meet with Madrid this week to talk about what comes next. The fact he has not been an undisputed starter in Ancelotti’s team opens up all possibilities — he wants to feel important.
