Former Manchester United defender, Henning Berg, has urged new coach Ten Hag to off-load troublemakers this summer.
Berg said those creating problems inside the United dressing room need to be identified and axed by new manager Erik ten Hag.
He told VG: “If there are major problems internally, it must be worked on and addressed. It must be solved.
“It can be cleared up by a new coach, but if there are players who do not agree, you have to consider whether to let someone go.
“They had an OK period, but then it all fell apart. Lately, they have been as far away from where they should be as it is possible to get. They have been really bad. That is not how United should be.
“The coaching has not worked in the last six months. (Ralf) Rangnick has tried to change his style of play in the middle of the season, but has not succeeded.”
