Transfer window: Real Madrid ‘join race for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen’

Date:

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen this summer.

The 23-year-old’s future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal, said to be interested in his signature.

Osimhen has again been in strong form for his Italian club this season, scoring 11 times and contributing four assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.

Meanwhile, he has struck 21 times and registered seven assists in 52 outings for the Blues since making the move from Lille in September 2020.

According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid are showing a strong interest in the Nigeria international ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

Osimhen – contracted to his Naples club until June 2025 – has seemingly emerged as an alternative option to Erling Braut Haaland in the event that Los Blancos miss out on the deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker in the upcoming market.

Newcastle United’s financial power has also allegedly placed the club in a strong position to compete for the Nigerian’s signature.
