Two Grassrunners Players Join Egyptian Side

Newly established Nigerian club, Grassrunners FC and Egyptian side, Lavina FC have agreed and sealed the signing of two of their players Michael Igbimba and Wilfred Tiko.

The duo put pen on paper recently in a deal that opened a new chapter in their football career.

With this agreement, both players will be in the books of Lavina FC for a couple of seasons as they signed a three -year contract.

According to the statement put out by Lavina FC after both players’ signing it read:
“The football committee of Lavina FC headed by Mahmoud Al-Assiuti, has succeeded in signing the Cameroonians, Michael Igbimba and Wilfred Tiko, midfielders of Nigerian club, Grassrunners FC. The signing was attended by Captain Islam Adel, the Athletic director of Lavina club”, the statement concluded.

Grassrunners FC on their part issued a statement through their CEO, Gbenga Agbejoye, who wished both players the best in their new club.

“We are happy to announce the signing of two of our players, Michael Igbimba and Wilfred Tiko by Egyptian side, Lavina FC.

“We all at Grassrunners rejoice with them and wish them the very best in their new club and career.

“We have no doubt that the ideals they have inculcated while at Grassrunners will be enough to see them through on the part to success”.

Grassrunners have transfered many players abroad despite they are a new side.
