U-17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets off to Algiers for Burkina Faso clash

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will depart Constantine for Algiers on Monday (today) night ahead of their quarter-final fixture against Burkina Faso.

Nduka Ugbade’s side will face the Burkinabes at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Algiers on Thursday night.

The two-time champions played all their group games at the Stade Mohammed Hamlaoui, Constantine.

The Eaglets finished second in Group B with six points behind the Atlas Cubs of Morocco.

Burkina Faso also came second in Group C behind Mali.

The Eaglets defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 the last time both teams met in the final of the WAFU B Championship last year.

The winner of the tie is guaranteed a place in the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
