U-17 WWC: Flamingos to face USA in quarter-finals

Nigeria will face the United States of America in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.

The encounter will take place in Mumbai on Friday.

The Flamingos finished second in Group B after recording a 2-1 victory against Chile on Monday afternoon in Bhubaneswar.

Blessing Emmanuel and Bisola Mosaku were on target for the West Africans in the game.

The USA on the other hand sealed top spot in Group A after a comprehensive 4-0 drubbing of Morocco also on Monday.

The Americans won two games and drew one in the group.

Brazil secured second spot in Group A and will face Germany in another quarter-final fixture.
