U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Embark On Break With Win Over Lobi Stars

The Nigeria U20 team, Flying Eagles have discharged all the players to go on break maintaining unbeaten streak in nine friendly matches ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. 

The seven times African champions came back from a 1-1 draw against Nasarawa United to bounce back to winning form against Lobi Stars with 2-0 in their ninth friendly at the FIFA Goal Project Football Practice pitch, Abuja on Saturday.

Ridwan Sarki and Olusegun Otusanya scored both goals in the second half.

The Flying Eagles won eight of the friendlies and drew one. Ladan Bosso’s scored 40 goals and conceded only two goals.

The players will resume for the final phase of the camping exercise on January 6.

 Nigeria U20 will participate in the CAF U-20 African Nations Cup in Egypt that will hold between February and March 2023.
