The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have won the Group Stage Fair Play award at the ongoing 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Technical Study Group (TSG) of the competition rewarded the Flying Eagles for their professionalism, dedication, passion and discipline in the group stage of the competition.
Ladan Bosso’s side finished Group A in second position with six points from three games.
The West Africans started the competition on a disappointing note going down to a 2-1 defeat to the Cubs of Senegal.
The Flying Eagles, however, recovered winning their next two games against Egypt and Mozambique.
The seven-time champions will face the Hippos of Mozambique in the quarter-final at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia on Thursday.
