U-20 World Cup: Flying Eagles victory against Argentina not a big deal – Bosso

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso admitted that his side’s stunning 2-0 victory against hosts Argentina is no “big deal”.

Second-half goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Rilwanu Haliru Sarki gave Nigeria victory over Javier Mascherano’s side.

The Argentines were favourites going into the game, but the Flying Eagles withstood pressure from the vociferous home fans to progress into the quarter-finals.

It ended a run of 10 straight U-20 World Cup victories for six-time champions Argentina.

“We had a game plan against Argentina and we stuck to it. Beating Argentina is no big deal,” Bosso said after the game.
