U-23 AFCONQ: Olympic Eagles Seek Redemption Against Guinea

The Olympic Eagles team is set to make amends by beating Guinea in Wednesday’s 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations final round.

The second leg qualifying tie against the Junior Syli National of Guinea holds in Casablanca, Morocco on Tuesday.

The first leg a week ago ended in a barren draw with both teams failing to find the back of the goal inside the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

The U23 Eagles who arrived in Morocco at 9 am Sunday, are ready to turn things around after they trained under floodlights at 10 pm Sunday night after 10 hours rest.

They concluded the pre-match training session on Monday with a light warm-up at 6:00 pm local time having a feel of the Stade Mohammed V Casablanca, which is the venue of Wednesday’s match against Guinea.

Meanwhile, the overall winner on aggregate will secure a place at the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Morocco later in the year.
