U20 AFCON: Egypt FA To Close Cairo International Stadium

Ahead of the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations, host Egypt Football Federation has closed down Cairo International Stadium.
Twelve teams including Nigeria’s Flying Eagles and host Egypt have qualified for the tournament.

The directives to close the stadium were issued on Monday afternoon and the necessary renovations are set to commence.

Al Ahly and Zamalek who are using the stadium as their home ground have been directed to choose another home ground for their CAF Champions League group stage.
