Nigeria’s U20 team, the Flying Eagles, defeated Egypt’s Young Pharaohs 2-1 in a friendly match on Tuesday as part of their preparations for the upcoming 17th Africa U20 Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The match, held at the Cairo International Stadium, is one of several tune-up games ahead of the tournament scheduled to run from April 27 to May 18.

Kparobo Arierhi and Benjamin Precious found the net for Nigeria, while Ahmad Kaabaka scored the lone goal for the hosts.

Drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco, the seven-time champions will kick off their campaign against Tunisia on Thursday, May 1, at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
