U20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Group Rival Loses Top Star To Injury

Hosts Egypt, one of the Flying Eagles’ group opponents at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will be without their top Star, Salah Pasha for the tournament.

Salah sustained a hamstring injury in Egypt’s 1-1 friendly draw against Uganda on Monday night.

It has now been confirmed that the young forward will not recover in time to be part of the competition.

It remains to be seen if a replacement will be named for Salah.

The Young Pharaohs are in Group A with Mozambique, Nigeria and Senegal.

The North Africans will take on Mozambique in the 2023 U-20 AFCON opening game this Sunday at the magnificent Cairo International Stadium.

Their second group game against the Flying Eagles will hold three days later.
