U20 AFCON: We Had A Good Game Against Nigeria – Uganda Coach

Even though they lost the game, the head coach of Uganda Jackson Mayanja believed they had a good game against Nigeria.

The hope of Uganda playing the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup ended on Thursday when they lost 1-0 to the Flying Eagles.

The coach still finds a way to praise his players despite the defeat.

“The dream has come to an end like football. I am so happy for my boys. They had a fantastic game today.

“We had a very good tournament, I think the players enjoyed the game,” the Cranes midfielder said.

“They have done what we told them to do. They played a fantastic game.

“We didn’t qualify but this is something we are building a new style of play for the template of Ugandan football”, he told CAF media.
