U20 AFCON: Why We Lost To Nigeria – Tunisian Coach

The head coach of the Tunisian U20 team Adel Selimi has revealed the reason they lost to Nigeria in the 3rd place playoff.

The North African team on Friday suffered a 4-0 defeat to the Flying Eagles in the loser’s final of the U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The former Tunisian international attributed the heavy defeat to the lack of maturity of the players.

“I take a large part of the responsibility for these two defeats, but my players need more maturity.

“Unfortunately, many players think they have reached the top and this is a problem.

“Of course, I regret the way we ended the competition, despite qualifying for the World Cup. We could have done better with a little more concentration”, he said.
