UCL: Casemiro faces Ronaldo pay-cut if Man Utd fail to reach objective

Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, will have his pay cut if the club fails to make the Champions League next season.

The Brazilian signed a lucrative contract with the Old Trafford club when he moved from Real Madrid this summer.

However, the 30-year-old will not be immune to the 25 percent deduction that every United player must accept when the club is not in Europe’s top club competition.

According to The Athletic, Casemiro will earn £375,000 per-week if all goes well during his stay at United.

However, if the club is not in the Champions League for most of the years of his deal, he will be earning significantly less.

The 25 percent reduction in salary is said to have enraged United star Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
